Women’s Ministry Outreach Project

At the last Women’s Ministry meeting the ladies gathered to create Valentine’s Day cards for the residents of a nearby retirement home.  The  ladies worked diligently to style each card with their individual creativity.  Working together they created nearly 100 hand-crafted cards to express the love our church has for our community.  Jesus said that we demonstrate love for Him when we serve others – especially those who are forgotten or vulnerable.  (Matthew 25:37-40)

In addition to giving cards to the residents, the entire church donated snacks so that we could prepare gift bags for the employees at the retirement home.  The church donated so many snacks that the ladies were also able to make gift bags for two fire departments, the police department and the fire chief’s office in Vestavia Hills.  Everything was delivered by representatives of the Women’s Ministry and our pastors on Valentine’s Day.

It is really a pleasure for our church to share our love of Christ with those in our community.  Whenever possible, we should all work to promote the Lord of lords as we serve him in His Kingdom.
