When Jesus began teaching about the Kingdom of God many people found his ideas to be revolutionary. His teaching was not like anyone else who had come before him. Matthew recorded one of his teachings that we call the Sermon on the Mount. It is filled with practical wisdom about how we are to live our lives in a way that honors and pleases God. If we can put these teachings into practice then we can become salt and light to the rest of the world. Our actions should reflect the character and nature of the God who created us in his image. Jesus showed us the way; now it is up to us to follow.
