Jesus gives us salvation when others condemn us
Scripture References: Luke 19:1-10, Philippians 3:14, Ephesians 6:13

When we think of the lives of most celebrities or high profile leaders, it is hard to imagine them as being in touch with the life of the average person. Can you imagine a movie star or a governor clipping coupons to save money at the grocery store? Probably not! It is all the more amazing for us to realize that the Creator of the universe actually gets us. He was intentional about making sure he understood what life is like for us by coming to earth in the form of a human being. Jesus spent time with the common people of his day and understood the struggles they had in life. Luke records several encounters with Jesus that show us how he had compassion for those who lived life on the margin. Thankfully, he gives us that same level of compassion today.
