William Shakespeare’s play, As You Like It, contains a famous line that says, “All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” Sometimes we feel like our life is playing out according to a script that we didn’t write and have little control over. The reality, however, is that our choices play a big part in the way our life unfolds and sometimes the choices we make are part of the problem. What if we could rescript our life’s journey in order to create a better outcome? Allowing God to have more control over the direction of our life is the most important step we can take. God can write new chapters for our life that provide us with greater purpose, contentment and joy. It’s time to hand the pen over to God and allow him to create a masterpiece like only he can do.
