Our modern culture often sees a sanitized version of Jesus. You know the one I’m talking about – the one in the paintings with the halo over his head. But what was Jesus really like? When we read the gospel accounts in the bible, we get a good idea of what he was like when he was with his disciples. There were times when Jesus was tough and hard on his critics who were trying to discredit him, but there were other times when he was compassionate and kind to those who were broken and hurting. And since Jesus is God in human form, our understanding of him helps us to get a clearer picture of God himself. In this series we’ll get to know something about Jesus by observing his encounters with various people during his time on earth. Ultimately, his goal is to have an encounter with each of us on a personal level. Are you ready to encounter Jesus?
