Communion symbolizes our unity with one another and with God

From Series: "Community"
It is possible for us to worship God at any time even if we are alone. However, something wonderful happens when we worship the Lord together in community. God created us to be social beings who crave relationships with one another and when we are followers of Jesus, that community is made even more amazing as the Holy Spirit fills us and guides us. Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians outlines many important principles that help us grow in our faith community. In the second half of his letter he gave instructions about worshiping together. The key to all of them is that the Holy Spirit is the one who unites us together so that we can be an effective community of believers who are equipped not only to worship together, but to share our faith with the world. Let’s find out what God has to say to us about worshiping together in the kingdom of God.
