One day Jesus was walking on the shore of Galilee and he saw some guys who were fishing. He spoke to them and asked them to follow him and become his disciples – it was the ultimate apprenticeship! For three years twelve men put their lives on hold to spend time with this amazing man who healed the sick, cast out demons and taught with great passion and authority. The experience changed their lives forever! Today, this same Jesus is calling us to follow him as well. He may not be present on earth in a physical form, but his Spirit still guides us and teaches us amazing things while transforming our lives forever. If we really want to get the most out of our relationship with Jesus, we need to understand more about the process of following Jesus. Being a disciple means learning about Jesus and the kingdom, becoming more like him and finally doing what he has called us to do. Let’s commit ourselves to this journey of discipleship and answer the call to follow Jesus!
