Lately it feels like someone has pressed the pause button on the world. People all around the world are learning to deal with a pandemic that has greatly altered the way we normally do life. The disruptions are forcing many people to slow down from their usual flurry of activity. Could it be that in this pause we can learn to appreciate the divine idea of rest? God thought the idea of rest was so important that it is included in the Ten Commandments. But do we really know how to practice rest? Maybe it’s time to understand what that means for us and how we can make it a part of our lives – even after the world gets back in motion.
