When we read stories in the bible of people like Abraham, Moses and David, we often think of them as heroes. They accomplished such amazing things that their names will never be forgotten. Because of that, we often feel a little disconnected with them and think that we just can’t relate with them. They are larger than life and not at all like real people like us. Nothing could be further from the truth! If you look closer, you’ll notice that they struggled with the same human problems that all of us deal with. Even though they did great things, they were ordinary people. The miraculous nature of their stories is not due to their actions or abilities, but to their faith in a God who truly is incredible. God is still looking for real people with real faith so that he can do something extraordinary in their ordinary lives.
