Easter is always a time of great celebration. It is a time to wonder at the love and mercy of God and the power of the resurrection. However, there would be no resurrection without the cross. So why did Jesus have to die on the cross? The truth is, we are all to blame for his death. Our sins led Jesus down the path of the cross.
