The Jewish Fall Feasts

On Wednesday night, October 18th, we’ll have a special guest speaker from Chosen People Ministries.  Robert Walter will be speaking about the fall feasts on the Jewish calendar relate to JesusJewish Fall Feasts.  The following feasts will be covered:

  • Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets), which celebrates the beginning of the Jewish Civil year.
  • Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), which is considered the holiest day of the Jewish year.
  • Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles/Booths), which recalls 40 years of wandering in the wilderness, living in tents (booths) and worshiping in a portable tabernacle.

After just finishing a sermons series entitled “Revealed” this is a great way to wrap up the series to show how these Jewish festivals reveal Jesus as God’s chosen Messiah. Several years ago Robert came to our church to celebrate Passover with us and demonstrate how it reveals Christ.

Be sure to join us!  The service will begin at 7 pm and we’ll meet in the sanctuary.
